Well, the Big Web News Today (09-10-12). Is, that Many Godaddy.com Hosted Sites and Domain Names that use Godaddy DNS and or Forwarding Services Were Down!:O (See, Links at end of Post for more info). I have 4 Domain Names Registered with Godaddy. But I Host my Web Sites on my own Server. I use a couple of Free Web Site Monitoring Services to let me know the Status of my Web Sites. I Don't use Godaddy's Web Servers. Just for my Domain Names and DNS Forwarding. I received several e-mail notices that my Sites were Down and then Back up Today. Below are the notices that I got today. If you have a Web Site on any Server Anywhere and don't use a Site Up-Time Monitoring Service. You might want to try these out (below). Last year, I had a problem, that I didn't know about with my Self Hosted Sites. And it was offline for a long time, before I found out. When you Host a Site of your own, like I do. And it is on your Local Network. Most Web Browsers will just take the Shortest Rout to the Site and you wont realize that your Site is Down. They wont go out through the Actual Internet, when you go to your Domain Name from within your own Local Network. So, your Site will Appear to be Visible on the Internet. But, it may not be. I knew this, but was being a bit lazy and I paid the price!:O Here are the Notices that I received today. I can tell when my Site went down and when it came back up again too. It was all over, before I even checked my e-mail Today. Well, I say it was all over. Actually, it appears to be over. I'm still getting Notices about my Site Being Back up Again, Right Now. So, I'm hopping that my Sites will Stay Up and Online. It does look like Godaddy is working to Solve the Problem. So, I didn't have to worry allot, about the Big News Today. As for Tomorrow and the Next Day... Who knows what or who will mess things up on the Internet!:O Remember when the Internet Was Fun???

We owe you a big apology for the intermittent service outages we experienced on September 10th that may have impacted your website and your interaction with GoDaddy.com.
The service outage was due to a series of internal network events that corrupted router data tables. Once the issues were identified, we took corrective actions to restore services for our customers and GoDaddy.com. We have implemented measures to prevent this from occurring again.
At no time was any sensitive customer information, such as credit card data, passwords or names and addresses, compromised.
