Light Weight Web Browsers that I have used and found good for Older Machines Running the Xfce Desktop

Posted on 13:58 by Unknown
Here is a list of recommended apps for the Xfce Desktop from their Wiki Page (below). I was looking for a "Light Weight Web Browser for an older Machine that is running Xfce. By older, I mean a 400MHz P3 with 385mb of Ram. Yes, Old Older... Mine is running Caos Linux, which is an RPM Based Server Distro. And I have use quite a few different Web Browsers over the years on different older systems. But, I can't always remember their names. This list helped me to remember the Browsers that I have used and found to be good for an older machine. The first list of links, below. Are the Web Browsers that I have used and found good for Older Machines. They use less System Resources, than say Firefox and Chrome and still work well with most Web Plugins. Such as Java and Flash. And and a few more for Gnome and other Desktops too. The rest of the info below, is from the "recommendedapps Xfce Wiki" Page. Check em out...
